Can one shot a bandit, decent damage, but you probably won't need it by the point you get it.
Upon striking an enemy a handful of gems will drop, rotten, standard, and iron rations can also drop.
Drops more gems depending on the difficulty of the enemy. (Unconfirmed.)

Sadly, contrary to its description, it does not rain gems when swung, but instead only when it hits an enemy, like the cleaver.
